A Place for All
Care and Repair North East Wales, has visioned a new future for the community of Shotton and the surrounding areas, creating a renewed purpose for 37 acres sited alongside the River Dee. The vision is to create a home for community, health, volunteering, enterprise and wellbeing, a place for everyone to get involved, A Place for You.
The former Social Club is now the operational headquarters of Care and Repair North East Wales, the building is also home to the Dee Park Rangers who steward Wales’ newest woodland. There are football pitches for hire and a new woodland on Dee Park to explore, our building can be hired to hold meetings or host events. There is also the new John Summers community garden to sit and relax in.

A Place for Community
Our vision is to repurpose the land and buildings for good, acting as a catalyst to create a better life for everyone. To achieve this, we work with partners to provide training, sports facilities, activities, enterprise support, as well as access to the environment and green spaces. We believe that we can build a stronger community that has greater opportunities alongside a thriving local economy.
