Who we are

A Place for All

Care and Repair North East Wales is proud to continue developing and managing Place for You, a welcoming, community-focused space for everyone to enjoy.

Over the past few years, we’ve transformed land that was once home to old football and rugby pitches into a thriving community park that’s open year-round for the local community and visitors from further afield to enjoy.

Designed with wellbeing in mind, Place for You includes Dee Park, a green space for exercise, relaxation, and connection with nature, sports pitches, formal gardens and Place to Grow, our outdoor classroom and hub for schools, community groups to enjoy workshops, training, events, and community gatherings.

Since 2018, Care and Repair North East Wales has also taken stewardship of the former Tata Steel Sports and Social Club, now serving as health and wellbeing hub for our community to enjoy. Our dedicated Ranger team maintains the site, ensuring it remains a safe, vibrant, and sustainable place for everyone.

We aim to provide a safe and inclusive hub for community events, workshops, skills training, and engaging sessions that foster a strong sense of belonging. Christmas Celebration

The Dee Park Community Woodland Christmas event took place on Tuesday the 17th of December from 4pm until 7pm. Were you able to come along to place your wish on our wish tree, try your luck with our festive raffle and listen to the Deeside Silver Band?

Space for You

Our grounds are home to a number of local football teams who hire our 3 grass pitches.  We do have availability from time to time for extra hires, if you are interested in using a pitch, please contact us for information on fees and available dates.

At the heart of Place for You is the former Corus Steel social club, whilst we don’t serve alcohol anymore we do have lots of useful space for hire, so whether you want space for your meeting, set up a yoga class, hold training or a conference we’ve got the space for you.
